Pre-Marital Agreements

USA Today had an article on pre-marital agreements where they said that 2% of all marriages now had such an agreement and that 12% of divorcees wish they had done a pre-marital agreement.

Having worked with couples over the years it always amazes me how few of them have sat down with a counselor and tried to work out the real reason they are having problems in their marriage. When you think about it most of the things that upset you about your spouse are either fixable or they aren't. If they aren't fixable then the sooner you realize that and move on with your lives the less trauma in getting divorced.
